PLAN01 Three-story courtyard design A
We first present our standard plan. In this case, because the plot is long and narrow, we have arranged the Western-style room and the living/dining area with a courtyard in between.
Based on this plan, the client can understand the size of the building
in relation to the entire plot, and it becomes easier for them to visualize
the specific size and layout while taking into account their budget.

The plan includes a living/dining/dining area on the second floor,
with workspace and parking space planned on the east and west sides of
the first floor, and living spaces on the second and third floors. (Planning
conditions)

PLAN02 Three-story courtyard design B
This was proposed at the same time as PLAN01. The entire room is arranged in an L-shape, and the corridor has been minimized compared to the previous plan. However, sunlight from the south does not reach the living room easily, so at this stage, PLAN01 was the more promising option.

PLAN03 Two-story slit-type courtyard design
Due to various conditions in the surrounding area, the client requested
that the large courtyard design be abandoned and that a small, minimal
courtyard be used to ensure sufficient natural light. They also decided
on a two-story design instead of a three-story one.
Therefore, I proposed a slit-type open space design. The client showed great interest in this design. While I had some reservations as the designer, I also prioritized the idea of a minimal courtyard.

PLAN04 Two-story house with a courtyard design
While Plan 03 did meet the client's requirements, I still had reservations
as a designer about the courtyard being too small. Therefore, in Plan 04,
I considered a courtyard on the east side. This was because, during discussions
with the client, I determined that the east side of the building had fewer
side windows, thus minimizing privacy issues.

The staircase layout differs between the model photograph and the drawings.
Once the room layout is finalized, we will reconsider the staircase layout, door locations, kitchen area, etc. |
