In February, the ground-breaking ceremony was held
without incident.
The client seemed happy, as if they were excited fo
r the project to begin.

In March
, foundation work began

and a rebar inspection was conducted. 13φ
rebars were placed at 200mm intervals.

The foundation structure is externally insulated.
The white parts below are the insulation material.

In April
, with the temporary bracing still in place, work
began on the structural plywood and studs for
the subfloor. The photo below shows the view
of the open space from the second floor.

This is a view of the second floor. This is a view
of the road from the back of the room.

This is a view of the third floor. This is a view
of the roof balcony from the back of the room.

This is a view of the construction of the
third-floor roof balcony. To prevent water leakage, the balcony floor
is laid at a lower level than the rooms on the third floor.

24mm thick structural plywood is used for the
flooring. It is an F☆☆☆☆ product, free from
harmful substances such as formaldehyde.

The metalwork and bracing work is almost complete.

This is the first-floor workshop. The windows
haven't been installed yet, so the whole thing is
covered with a blue sheet. This is a view

from the second-floor balcony facing the road,
looking towards the interior. The ceiling framing
on the second floor is almost complete.

This is the third floor. The ceiling framing is finished.
It looks like it will be a nice room that opens up to
the roof balcony.

This is the third-floor roof balcony, which is currently
covered with a sheet.

It's just before Golden Week. Construction is progressing smoothly. Below is a photo of the metal fittings connecting the upper and lower columns. These metal fittings are also carefully considered during structural calculations and installed where necessary.

The area around the column below is discolored;
this is the result of termite treatment.

The waterproof and moisture-proof sheet has been
installed on the third-floor balcony. Mortar has also
been applied to the floor to comply with fire safety
regulations. After this, FRP waterproofing will be
applied to the floor. If you look closely, you can see
that the aluminum windows have also had their frames installed.

This is the second-floor balcony. It is progressing
similarly to the third floor.

It is insulated. We are using F☆☆☆☆ certified
products to combat formaldehyde.

The plywood panels are securely connected
to each other with underlayment so that the
structural plywood of the exterior walls can
function properly.

This is the space above the ceiling of the third-floor
balcony. Insulation has been properly installed.
Of course. The five photos from the beginning

of May
were taken on April 30th, but are posted here for
convenience. This is the third floor. The electrical
wiring is finished and the sashes have been installed.
The inside of the closet is protruding because there
is a staircase below.

Above the small window, piping for 24-hour
ventilation as a measure against sick building
syndrome has also been installed. After the
exterior walls are completed, a cap with
a fire damper will be installed.

This is the second floor. Sashes have also been
installed in the atrium that connects to the workshop.
It is bright.

The exterior wall material on the north side has
been installed. We value the texture of the material
itself and will use it in its original color.

5/10 We have finished installing a lot of the gypsum
board for the interior underlayment.

The base for the ceiling light fixtures has been
installed. Downlights will be placed in the four
corners of the Western-style room on the third floor.

The exterior walls of the terrace are almost finished.
Natural air intake vents have been installed above
the small windows, and their placement has been
consciously aligned with the center of the windows.
Work on the gutters and floor waterproofing will be
carried out next.

The scaffolding has been removed and the
exterior has been revealed. The texture of the
exterior wall material feels appealing. It will get
even better from here.

This is the roof balcony on the third floor. Large
openings have been installed in the exterior wall
to prevent water from overflowing during typhoons.
June 16th The interior walls and ceiling will be
finished with a sprayed resin coating. Putty will
be applied to level the base before finishing.

June 21st Some of the painting is finished.
The photo below shows the area still masked,
but once the masking is removed, a contrasting
space of white and wood will be revealed.

Construction is behind schedule and it's now July.
July 2nd A Katsura tree has been planted in
front of the entrance. Ground cover plants
such as Ophiopogon japonicus have also been
planted between the combed concrete sections.

The front is still unfinished, but the exterior work is
progressing well and I think it's starting to look nice.

The shelves in the atrium are now complete.

July 2nd The shelves in the atrium are now
complete. The railing in the atrium is adjustable up
and down and will transform into a stand when
displaying pottery on the shelves.

July 2nd The client has started considering the
display. They will spend the next few days thinking
about the layout.
