Customer Feedback
Time flies; it's already been two years since our house was built.
But life is strange
My husband was transferred overseas less than a year after we started living in this house.
I've also spent half my time living abroad, and for the past year I've
hardly lived in Japan at all.
Looking back, building this house was incredibly difficult, and we went through a lot of
challenges .
After deciding to buy the land,
We were hit with an unfortunate incident where the construction company changed twice .
It took nearly three years.
I almost gave up many times along the way.
I had meetings with Professor Tsukahara, sometimes almost every day.
I spent my days going through trial and error,
When it was finally completed, I felt like it was finally, finally finished.
Professor Tsukahara was incredibly patient and supportive.
I believe I was able to persevere and complete the project because I had my teacher by my side .
Thank you so much.
And so, after much effort, the house was finally built.
What I asked the teacher was
We don't have a budget.
No,
"A white house like an art museum"
That's it.
The key is to keep it simple.
Thank you for your hard work despite the limited budget.
The simple white house I envisioned has been completed.
When building this house, the thing I was most particular about was the cherry blossoms.
That said, it's entirely borrowed scenery...
What are the deciding factors when purchasing land?
The beautiful cherry blossoms in the park in front of my house
The best part was that you could watch it from the comfort of your home.
The park side faces west, but we didn't let that bother us and boldly made the entire wall into windows.
However, be prepared for costs to increase.
We had them use Low-E glass and other measures to protect against the afternoon sun .
Thanks to that, I was able to
fully .
On the other hand, it's completely visible from the outside...
We don't really mind, but
other people around us say all sorts of things.
Putting all the private areas on the second floor was the right decision.
You certainly can't wander around on the first floor in your underwear.
The ceiling is also high at 3 meters, so it's a very pleasant place to spend time.
However, on the other hand, standard sizes for range hoods, blinds, etc.,
may not fit.The disadvantages of this became apparent later.
I had a hard time with this.
The first floor will have the white tiles I wanted.
However, when I visited another unfinished property designed by the professor,
There were tiles laid in the bathroom,
If you stand on it for a minute or two
Everyone said, "My feet are so cold!!"
And so it is.
And so, our house
now has white tile flooring and underfloor heating installed throughout. That's another cost increase...
However, once I started living there, it turned out to be quite comfortable, and these past two winters...
I was able to get by almost entirely with just the underfloor heating.
I'm glad I installed underfloor heating.
Our house has gas-powered underfloor heating.
I feel like the utility costs aren't much different from using the air conditioner for heating.
Everything else is designed to be user-friendly.
They took even the smallest details, such as the depth of the shelves and the height of the electrical outlets, and brought them to life.
Thanks to that, I'm able to live a comfortable life.
Professor Tsukahara
Thank you for realizing our vision within our limited budget.
Thank you for patiently working with us until we were completely satisfied.I
am truly grateful.
Nowadays, I feel less like he's a design engineer and more like a comrade-in-arms.
I believe we will have a long-term relationship, so I look forward to working with you in the future.
